The partnership between the Armenian Fund of France (FAF) and the ENSV-FVI, signed in January 2021, will identify the needs for strengthening the capacities of animal health laboratories, to better monitor and diagnose animal diseases considered to be a priority in the country. Thus French expertise in veterinary public health will be at the service of partner health authorities.
At the beginning of February 2022, Nicolas Keck, director of the Herault veterinary laboratory and Michael Treilles, director of R&D biology at Qualyse (Nouvelle-Aquitaine) were welcomed into various structures linked to Armenian laboratories in order to provide their expertise to strengthen their capacities. They analyzed the development strategy of laboratories, their structures, their equipment, their systems of governance and economic models, etc.
The report produced following this mission will be submitted to the FAF, which finances the operation.
Following this mission, more substantial cooperation prospects will be studied to further develop this collaboration in a lasting partnership, according to the expectations of the authorities concerned.
